Cruise for a Cure for Carter-No One Fights Alone!
We are doing a fundraiser to help raise funds for the Sperry family deal with the recent events that has happened in their life. Normally we do this for our club member Kelly and her fight to help raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness, but have asked that we donate this year to this wonderful family.

In September 2015 our 9 year old son, Carter was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. After an 8 hour surgery to remove the tumor, He woke up essentially paralyzed on his entire left side. As he learned to walk, use his left hand and arm again he faced many complications including meningitis and a blood clot that resulted in 6 emergency surgeries. He underwent 33 rounds of radiation to his brain and 6 months of chemotherapy. He has suffered from 4 seizures including 1 grand mal seizure that resulted in him being air lifted to the children's hospital. In a 4 month span he had a total of 10 surgeries, 9 of which were on his brain. Through treatment he lost his appetite, lost 12 pounds, threw up often and had multiple blood and platelet transfusions. He was hospitalized for dehydration twice. On May 25th 2016 after having an MRI, we learned that not only had Carter's tumor grown back but it diffused throughout his brain and treatment was no longer an option. His doctor sent us home giving him 3 more months to live.
